The Long Journey!
Follis Realty LLC started business on 9/18/2019. It was formed as a result of the closure of Wm. T. Follis, LLC, Realtors. I have been a licensed real estate broker since January 1990. This is important because in the State of Washington, it is a legal requirement to be a licensed real estate broker to manage properties for people other than yourself.
In 1990 after I graduated from Western Washington University with a Master of Business Administration degree, I started listing and selling single family homes, land, and multi-family properties for Arnason Realtors. Gradually over the years former clients would ask me to manage their rental property. That portion of my business grew to the point that I now spend most of my time managing. Although I am asked to list and sell a property by a former client a few times per year.
I am a member of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors, the Washington Realtors Association, the National Association of Realtors, and the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. My two two sales associates are members of these organizations as well. I am also a Board member of the Washington Landlord Association. This is important because I am up to date on all the legislation that has been passed because of the pandemic that affects landlords and tenants.
